A little bit about Dai Si Jair Sue Meads
Dai Si Jair Sue Meads began martial arts training in 2000, starting with kick boxing before moving into Choi Li Fut/Kung Fu and Yang-style Tai Chi. She trained in all three disciplines for several years, before finally focussing all her training towards Tai Chi.
In 2005, Sue was accepted as a direct student of Tai Sifu (Senior Instructor) Mark Horton who founded the Hong Ying International Association in 1982. The main Hong Ying International Association school is in Leiden, Netherlands, but there are many associated schools, like the Hong Ying Institute for Tai Chi Chuan UK, across the globe.
Sue started to teach regular classes in September 2005, first once a week at The Pier, Herne Bay, and gradually increasing this to three classes weekly at different venues in East Kent plus monthly Advanced Classes.
Since 2010, Sue has represented Hong Ying International Association and her own school at competitions in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. During 2014 she was part of the winning Hong Ying International Association Team at the Goshu Cup Compettion in Amsterdam, and led the Hong Ying Institute of TCC UK at The London Competition for Tai Chi the next week.
Sue practices Tai Chi and Qigong on a daily basis, regularly attends seminars and training events at the Leiden school and continues to learn and develop.
